In this position, the Software Development & Trainer will manage the effective implementation of training events and special projects throughout the organization for Mimaki Printers, Cutters, and Software. This position will be responsible for overseeing, designing, developing, coordinating and running both large- and small-scale training and customer self-care programs in a fast-paced environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Develop customer self-care documentation and videos with knowledge base, Chatbot, and Multimodal.
  • Develop, execute, and manage customer interaction with content such as social, web portals, etc.
  • Develop and execute a plan to deliver appropriate content to the defined audience based on delivery method.
  • Work with multiple platforms and execute different delivery strategies.
  • Develop and collaborate with appropriate departments to develop continuing education for customers and employees by setting goals, gauging progress, and analyzing of modules through educational methods such as pass/fail, participation, gamification methods, and surveys.
  • Up to 75% travel, including weekend and possible International travel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) and/or 5+ year’s relative work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in training programs, workshops, and/or training facilitator.

Knowledge of:

  • Ability to manage, implement, drive, and track projects in a deadline driven environment.
  • Technical/dynamic collateral development (experience with computer-based training) in curriculum design and/or developing training materials.
  • Field and/or remote technical support customer experience (preferred).

Skills in:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Strong working knowledge of English, both written and spoken (required). Spanish (plus).
  • Solid software skills: Learning Management System (LMS) technology, Adobe (Captivate, Design, and/or Video), Camtasia, Powtoons or similar.
  • MS Suite.
  • Basic coding skills (should have a strong foundation/understanding of): HTML (preferred), Multimodal, SDKs, and APIs.
  • Presentation skills/experience: Oratory and developing /conducting interactive media presentations: Teams, GoToMeeting, and Zoom.
