As Graphics Production Coordinator, you are responsible for running the print and graphics department of a rapidly growing architectural signage company. You are entrusted to provide innovative, responsible workflows with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results. The primary purpose of the position is to monitor, organize and run print jobs and to report on the daily work flow of the print shop.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for sending, printing, proofing, finishing, packaging and shipping all print orders.
Responsible for monitoring and tracking inventory of all print shop as needed.
Responsible for creating and coordinating new workflows for the print shop to fulfill schedules.
Attend and assist in leading team meetings as scheduled.
Provide a daily report to the team, providing a hierarchy outline as well as identifying any issues.
Rely on experience and judgment to coordinate print and design requests. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Provide ongoing expertise by pursuing educational opportunities for yourself and production staff.
Responsible for placing services calls for print production issues and coordinating with equipment tech support team(s).
Evaluate and monitor print shop internal processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
Monitor all print shop orders for appropriate QA.
Provide supervision and delegation to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.
Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work assignments, and the reviewing and approval of tasks.
Receive guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Perform all other business-related duties as assigned.
Works in office areas, training rooms, etc., as necessary.
Moves frequently during working hours.
Works in well-lighted, ventilated areas and around large printing equipment.
Subject to numerous interruptions for any urgent projects.
Subject to work on multiple tight deadlines in keeping up with work demands.
Deals with B2B and personnel under varying conditions.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred but not required; minimum of two years related experience and/or training.
Must possess skills in print and graphic design
Must possess creativity, integrity, and demonstrate initiative.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, and the general public.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary to meet deadlines for all print shop projects.
Experience with color management and photo retouching.
Experience with Windows operating system, Cadlink’s Signlab, and Corel are preferred.
Experience with UV flatbed/roll printers, vinyl plotters.
Experience with Print RIP Software.
Experience with plotting and applying vinyl roll media.
Experience working in a print shop and experience sending, printing and finishing design files that are delivered via PDF
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadline-driven projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Provide excellent email correspondence and phone calls.
Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language and possess excellent communication skills.
Must be flexible in the performance of duties as priorities change.

Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
